- LOOT
We leave the wet body room to look for a better place to rest. We check out a door and can't hear anything. We open and see a room thats mostly fallen apart. We see a stone altar with humanoid skulls and bones. A lot of unlit black candles. Lilith lights the candles and we see RISE AND BE COUNTED form onto the wall. Lilith reads it aloud and then 3 skeletons animate and kneel before her. Skraps punches one in fear. It does literally no damage. A bunch of skeletal rats swarm into the room from the left.
The room they came from has a table with a body on it. Then we see a very skinny woman in a black robe. She seemingly sends the rats towards us. Aurelia accidentally shoots me. It made a wild noise and made me slower and a little bit of blood drips out of my nose. Cassandra doesn't handle that mistake very well. Even though Cassandra healed me real good. Mortlock tries to comfort Tzon and Aurelia but Aurelia just feels worse, pitied, and useless. I accidentally crush the skull of the corpse. Mortlock kills her.
Aurelia apologizes (but me zoe couldn't roleplay at that moment) Lilith opens a door and we see another partially collapsed room. There is a coffin thats clearly been raided a long time ago. Skraps hops in the coffin (because of some bit) and he finds 3 books. I search the corpse to see if I can find any identification. No noticeable tattoos or anything. We also check Flennis (the lady in the black robe). She had a silvered skull flail. I take it. There was also a dusty spell book. Black leather cover with a skull locking mechanism.
We continue forward. And we see a room with 3 more bodies. human in filthy robes organized into a triangle. Lily sends the skeletons over to the bodies. As they approach the bodies leap to their feet ready to fight. They were playing dead. Lil shits.
I cast heroism on Tzon and he is brave for a lil bit. Its real cool. He takes out 2 dudes, one of us with a critical one shot kill.
We look into another room. It has BEDROLLS!! And a coffin. It has no ornamentations. But it does have a bunch of bones. We finally take our rest. Cassandra pulls out a dehydrated sponge named Steve? Puts it in a jug of water that I have. It animates into a one foot gelatinous cube that seemingly is animated soap. She tells Steve to clean Tzon. (who has wanted to get clean this whole time. specifically in the bathhouse) I tell Aurelia I forgive her and that she does a good job. Lily looks into the tiamat crown we found earlier. Its nonmagical but she still FEELS a presence from it. Its for sure a crown of Tiamat though. Tzon and Skraps find a secret door that opens to a hallway.
Mortlock says he thinks Flennis was the leader of the Myruulites. We only have to kill one more leader.
We explore the secret door area. Find just like a rat. and then also a sarcophagus with its lid off and broken. Just rot in there. Dustin speeds us through to make sure if there was anything else. Mostly just wet and bodies. A room that has a 3 foot steel mask cast in the form of a frowning human skull.
We think we've cleared everything out. We totally actually killed all the leaders just didn't notice oops
Mortlock tells us that his 2 older brothers conspired to kill him. His mom probably doesn't care enough to bother. He tells us that his brother Amorick runs a money lending business out of a tavern called Low Lantern in dockside. Built into an old ship. He tells us if we want to get to his mother we should go through him first.
There was then some Cassandra and Lily divorce drama also happening (I kinda missed what the beginning was tbh) Aurelia also gets involved and tells them to fix their shit and get along without using her in the middle.
We leave~
