Session 34

Recap:

Recap:
- Resume after the dreams
- Cass uncurses Tzon
- We decide to go to medenkainen. Maggie says name drop her if we run across Smiler the Defiler
- We head out mostly in the tormentor, Balsam on Bean
- Run into Raggadragga and his band of wereboars/rats and fight em
- We eventually defeat/scare them off. Balsam decides to ride in the Tormentor after almost dying
- We continue further into the wastes

  The ride is quite rough because of the broken axle. Aurelia sets up a contraption so Tzon can control the pedals with his feet. Aurelia becomes quite worried about the axle's safety. We pull over in a massive rib cage in order to check it out and stay in some sort of cover.

  Aurelia and Balsam shimmy under to check out the damage and see if we can do a quick and dirty repair. As we look over the underside, we can't tell how to fix it, but we could jerry-rig something to maybe hold it together.

  While we do that, Lily looks over the 3 spell books Skraps got from the bathhouse basement. They have a lot of spells but since none of us are wizards its basically useless. She also tries to figure out what kind of bones we are up in. First instinct is dragon but she isn't super confident.

  Tzon and Skraps keep watch, but also Skraps keeps ripping pages out of the books, and Tzon tries his hardest to memorize the pages. He cannot understand any of it though. But Skraps still is able to notice a flash of red in the skies, it seems to be a red winged fiend clad in black armor, descending rapidly towards the ground around 50 feet away from our camp.

  She lands gracefully and looks at us waiting for us to approach. Skraps and Lily go first (obviously)

  She asks what we are doing here. Skraps tells her we ran into some trouble but we beat them or whatever. He also tells her that we are fixing our war machine. She asks where we are going, Skraps just kinda points in a general direction. She tells us her name is Eliza. She tells us there might be a bit of business we can do together. She wants something in our possession. She'd rather not fight us, but she offers us 10 soul coins for Lulu. Lulu hides behind Tzon. Tzon says we would only trade for Zariel's sword. Eliza has no clue what he's talking of. "It's a pity, I suppose I can't convince you."

INITIATIVE!!!!

• Eliza takes a step back and then puts her eyes on Skraps and says "Won't you be a doll and kill them for me?" Skraps fails his wisdom save and is dominated. "Yes mistress," he responds.
• Tzon starts running forward and dodges, and holds a punch if she gets close
• Lulu yells "Don't let her take me!" and then flies under the Tormentor and then sucks some air and holds it in (likely a held action)
• Aurelia slides out and stands up and then says "Look, its 7 vs 1, we aren't going to give up our friend, how bout you call this off so you don't die." She then readies her bow to shoot the next person who attacks an ally. Eliza responds, "Are you sure it's just me?"
• We hear a bunch of noises and an Orthon (Hephaizel)pops out and fires a crossbow bolt at bean which takes her down. As it hits a blinding flash of light emanates and Aurelia, Lily, Balsam, and Lulu have to save. Only Lily succeeds. Everyone else is blinded. Aurelia's bow goes off with a psionic strike and lands strong on Eliza. He disappears immediately.

• Skraps "I'm sorry Aurelia, but when you threaten my new queen, you have to get hit first." He then throws a psychic blade at her which hits clean with a sneak attack. Offhand throw which crits. "Good Boy," Eliza whispers.
• Lily says "Apologize," to Skraps (command grovel.) unfortunately, it can't override the dominate. She then gets away from Skraps
• Cassandra casts Crusaders Mantle which gives everyone an extra 1d4 radiant damage on weapon attacks.
• Balsam slides out "I told you I was going to hurt you!" They then use divine sense picking up one blip (which is Eliza and not who they wanted but whatevs), which they cast a guiding bolt at, which hits with the assistance of Cassandra. Doesn't break Eliza's concentration.
• Eliza smirks as Lily moves away, "Now where do you think you're going," and rushes towards her. She says something in infernal and the rope thats coiled onto her hip flings forward and wraps around both of her wrists and restrains her. Eliza then swings twice with her long sword. Hitting with both.
• Tzon runs up and does a sick missile drop kick which does unfortunately misses, followed by a punch which also misses.She easily redirect each strike. It looks hot (I'd know if I could fucking SEE) Flurry of blows, misses the first and then He finally moves to get flank and gets lands one clean with a stunning strike which drops her concentration freeing Skraps!!
• Lulu repeatedly whispers "I can be brave." She makes out from under the tormentor and then releases her breath from her trunk and uses her Trumpet of Sparkles, which makes a crazy loud noise, specifically making sure not to get anyone else in range in case of the wrong alignments. Eliza totally fails though so she takes damage. She dashes back under the tormentor
• Aurelia pulls out her blades and runs towards whoever damaged her last which was Skraps. He knows she knows its him and tries to convince her not to attack him as he's snapped out of it. She doesn't believe him and she strikes anyway missing one, hitting another. She then randomly aims towards Eliza and fires her bow. It was deff aimed at Tzon which hits him.
• The Orthon moves forward, popping him into my knowledge, fires another bolt this time at Tzon which hits but is somewhat deflected. Fails a constitution saving through and is paralyzed with lightning. We are no longer blind!!!!
• Skraps is torn as to which titties he wants to protect, Eliza or Lily. He decides Lily and throws a psychic blade at Eliza. Lands with sneaky sneaks. Moves behind a rib and hides.
• Lily has a golden necrotic energy that comes out of her amulet, and then moves through her veins and casts False Life. She then uses her tail to drink a healing potion.
• Cassandra moves up on Eliza and true strikes which hits, (a fun d4, d6, d8, and d10 attack.) Another attack as bonus, which also hits. And then returns back behind Balsam.
• Balsam runs up to the Orthon, and swings their mace at him, missing once, hitting the second with a divine strike! They scream at his face "DON'T ATTACK MY HORSE!!!!" Orthon: "Oh, fuck your horse!"
• Eliza is stunned.
• Tzon is paralyzed and remains so
• Lulu moves out and 'trumpet of blast's the Orthon, he succeeds his con save but still takes half but isn't deafened. but then runs back under the tormentor
• Aurelia uses her flying leap thingy and moves up onto Eliza and by Lily. Attack attack both hit. Eliza is knocked prone.
• Orthon stabs with his dagger but misses.
• Skraps climbs onto the infernal machine and throws a dagger at the Orthon which hits and tries to trip him but can't.
• Lily tries to burn her rope off of her,
• Cassandra moves back up and gets flank, True strike (same cool combo of dice) almost misses but that fun +10 thing makes it land. Hits with a spiritual weapon as well.
• Balsam stares him in the eyes "Release." and tries to get him to drop his weapons. It takes!!! Bonus action lay on hands.
• Eliza on the ground raises her hands up "Wait wait we can come to a truce. I have things you need!" She releases Lily from her bondage and drops her sword which disappears.
• Tzon breaks out of his paralysis.
• Lulu menacingly flies over above Eliza and holds her trumpet attack.
• Aurelia sits down on a rib.
• Orthon drops his dagger.
• Skraps pops out of his spot and "Heres the thing we WERE willing to make a deal but then you had to go and mesmerize me to attack my friends." "You guys need information you're fish out of water." "You're right but the way we see it maybe a little information, maybe a little we can call you when we need you and we let you go. But the holiphant isn't for sale" Persuasion check real good. "We can talk but call your friend off, if they kill Hephaizal he will explode" "I can't speak for Balsam, they have rage in their eyes." Balsam: "He killed Bean. He dies."
• Lily "You're willing to discuss our terms?" "yes." Eldritch blast on the Orthon, misses on both.
• Cassandra puts her hammer towards Eliza's face "So you agree to enter into a contract beholden to the Guilty Pleasures?" "You aren't devils, you can't write contracts" "Some of us are," and Cass points to Lily and herself. PErsuasion check "I mean I'll read it," responds Eliza. "Sign it or die. You're choice."
• Balsam stows their mace and picks up Hephaizel's dagger (all I know is its a +1 and uses a d4 for damage. Use strength and also its a simple weapon) and stabs him twice with it. They can't figure out how to activate the fun thing that it clearly can do. They do throw a divine smite onto it though.
• Eliza begins to stand up as Hephaizel looks pleadingly to her. She raises her eyebrows and half shrugs.
• Tzon moves over to help Balsam and attack attacks. Hitting with one.
• Lulu holds her trumpet some more
• Aurelia keeps chilling
• Hephaizel backs up taking a dagger in the process. He pulls out his crossbow and fires it at Balsam but misses. He runs as far as he can away.
• Skraps moves up and starts throwing psychic daggers. Hits, sneak attack. Off hand throw, also hits. It hits him right in the nape of the neck, he falls to the ground and his body swells out and explodes outwards in a 60 foot radius. Dex from Skraps, Tzon, and Balsam. Halflings succeeds, Balsam fails. They take the explosion strong.
