Session 30

Recap:

- On our way to Fort Knucklebone we get hit by a swarm of fleshy bug things
- We see some undulating nupperibos off in the distance
- Lily gets quicksanded
- Greeted at the fort by some silly lil redcaps
- Mad Maggie tells us of the tale of Zariel and of various warlords of avernus
- She starts setting up a ritual to dig around in Lulu's memories
- We gotta help people around the fort
- Balsam pulls some bone fragment out of the foot of Maggie's frankenstein buddy
- We go talk to some Kenku and agree to help them catch a hezrou using some infernal vehicles
- Maggie stops us and cures Cassandra and Tzon, but Tzon still is gaes-ed
- We try to make a plan to fix that but making that plan hurts Tzon
- Tzon is fully committed to killing Mad Maggie so we knock him out and tie him up
- We take our vehicles out and catch a hezrou
- Lily doesn't notice a big pit of bones and she falls into it with a hezrou leaping towards her

INITIATIVE

• Aurelia drives towards Lily but can only make it about halfway
• Cassandra gives guidance on Dex to Skraps
• Tzon is still knocked out
• Skraps crawls out of the scavenger and hops onto the Hezrou's back and easily works his dagger into the base of a spike and saws it off. He comments on the smell coming off this thing. It reeks
• The hezrou in the claw breaks its way out of the grappling claw and hops onto the back of the scavenger right up in Balsam's face
• The hezrou by Lily licks his chops and stares at her. He hops onto her and starts ripping into her. A quick little hellish rebuke. More claw swipes and she is barely still conscious.
• Balsam also reacts to the stench and then grabs it back into the claw pulling it back away from them. Skraps was on the grappling claw and gets launched on the ground beneath the Hezrou.
• The kenku Chukka decides we aren't moving and we stay put
• Clonk also doesn't do anything
• Lily who is on the ground, nearly dead, under the hezrou is poisoned from the stink. Underneath her the ground moves and flames come up pulling her in, and suddenly she appears on the back of her bike with Aurelia.
• Aurelia whips around and comes back to the scavenger and asks Cassandra for help. Lily starts drinking for the pain
• Cassandra moves out and caresses Lily's cheek and casts cure wounds at 3rd level. Aurelia is uncomfortable with all this affection inches from her.
• Skraps is poisoned by the sheer stench of this thing. He runs back up to the hezrou to get another spike. He easily does.
• the grappled hezrou tries but fails to escape again
• the other one dashes towards us, but can't quite make it.
• Balsam prepares to grab the hezrou again if it escapes.
• Chukka scolds Lily for leaving her bike and then hits the gas.
• Clonk doesn't do anything
• Lily blasts the free hezrou
• Aurelia hits the nos and heads back to the bike, checking out the damage. The axle looks damaged but not busted. They go back to the scavenger to be told that the bike will absolutely drive though. Balsam and Lily are gonna swap places.
• Cassandra pulls Lily off the bike and helps her onto the scavenger
• Skraps throws up again from the stench and continues to be poisoned. He takes the final spike we need. and then leaps back to the main part of the scavenger
• grappled hezrou remains grappled
• free hezrou moves towards us but can't quite make it
• Balsam unmans the grappling station and hops onto the bike, pulls their hair down and throws it and tells Aurelia to hit it!
• Chukka floors it and tells someone to drop the hezrou
• Clonk tells Aurelia and Balsam to meet them back at Fort Knucklebone
• Lily nascars in through the claw station window and then hits the lever to drop the hezrou which hits the ground hard and rolls a bit before coming to a stop
• Aurelia guns it back to the other bike does a sick slide and Balsam hops off and mounts the bike. Aurelia guns it back towards the scavenger crew pulling a sick wheelie
• Cassandra and Skraps are straight chilling
• A hezrou leaps towards Balsam but can't attack them
• Balsam gets poisoned by the stank. They pull they gas hard and zip away catching a claw in the process.

End combat

  We ride back to the Fort. Balsam's bike is a pretty rough ride but they make it back. As we arrive we get a chorus of hoots and hollers from the redcaps. They call for a handstand which Skraps hops up there and tries but fails to handstand falling off the top of the vehicle. The recaps laugh and clap in glee

  Cassandra sends De'rik over to the damaged bike and cast mending which fully works. Skraps gives the kenku the spikes they needed to fix one of their machines. Cassandra approaches Lily and looks her over and asks her to get herself clean so she can look her over. Prestidigitation. Cassandra sees the wounds that haven't fully healed, and winces before working on healing her up. Awkward romantic divorcee moments ensue.

  Balsam pulls Tzon out of the scavenger and carries him around by the manacles. Lily says to Aurelia "This is why we are called the pleasures" Balsam hears and responds "Don't act like you wouldn't like this"

  The ravens that were on Maggie's shoulders fly straight up to us and land in front of us they tell us that they've noticed we are helping people out around town. They introduce themselves as Pins and Needles. They tell us one of the madcaps are planning on killing Lulu. Wozzik. They tell us that Maggie probably wouldn't even notice if we took him out before he could. We ask if we could talk him out of it, but they tell us it's not worth trying. They tell us we have to keep it secret and no one can notice. Cassandra can tell that they are withholding something but unsure as to what. Lots of fun banter also ensues. Eventually ending with us turning around and facing away. We agree to kill the dude.

  We go hunt for a secluded spot to jump this dude. We find one and all go and wait for Lily to lure Wazzik over to us. He looks extra mad even for a madcap. She approaches him with a sexy lil walk. She holds her hand up and tells him to look at her hand also implying a handy maybe? She then casts Command and tells him to follow. She leads him back to the designated area.

  Skraps throws a psychic knife CRIT and a sneak attack. major damage brother killing him in one hit. Tosses it up in the air and lets gravity pull it the rest of the way landing right through the top of his head. We stuff his body into one of the scrapheaps. We discuss the morality of us murdering people. Aurelia starts to brag and Balsam starts to ride Bean away to avoid listening to it again. We ask if Pins and Needles know of anyone else to help out with. They say Barnabus has been having bullying issues. Cassandra goes off to do some cooking while we handle that. She takes Tzon with her putting him into a baby bjorn.

  The rest of us go to talk to Barnabus. We make our way to a trash heap with a sulking skull covered in green flames floating to the side looking very sad. Lily approaches him and asks if he's having a hard time. Lily tries to be tactful and then balsam says a little birdie told us. Apparently the redcaps have been throwing things at him. One of them broke his tooth. Grubba grabbed it (one of the redcaps). Lily tries to convince him to just own the look, build his flames bigger, be confident. I give him the bone I pulled from the frankenstein's foot to cheer him up a little in the mean time. Lily offers the use of one of her undead minion's bodies if he needs.

  We notice some redcaps collected under a tent and head over to them asking after grubba. One puts his hand up and says hes grubba. Lily gets him to leave the group, also thinking he's gonna get laid. She tells him she has a kink for guys with someone else's tooth in their pocket. It doesn't work. Balsam comes up and just demands the tooth. He tells us he doesn't have it, they've been using it as a lucky charm so he doesn't have it. Balsam tells him that thats hilarious and that the redcaps are fun. Skraps asks if he knows where it is because he wants some of that luck. They won't give it up though. Skraps alludes that he might kill him if he doesn't. It's very effective and he starts leading us back to the group of around a dozen redcaps. They cheer him on for getting laid and then he screams "STOP THEM THEIR GONNA KILL ME!"
