Session 25

Recap:

- Resumed after sleep in the cavern
- Eat some food. Some eat some fiend crab. Everything tastes like dirt
- No more Skraps Curse! Lily stabs him to test it, which cheers up some kids
- Head to the Grand Cemetery with Lulu
- Meet a weird demon bird
- Inside the cemetery are some minotaurs and a hot undead man
- Aurelia totally trips into Lily starting combat
- Skraps gets surrounded by 4 hot ghosts, and 4 not hot ghosts
- Lily persuades the hot guy to join us and he calls off all the dead peeps
- All of us and some buggy boys get into a fight with a giant scorpion and a fuckton of dretches coming from below

• Aurelia stabs Freak through the heart killing him, and then sprays Balsam with the blood. She then attacks The Sexual TENSION hitting. Scimitar attack CRIT! Psionic Energy comes from her tattoo giving even more! SUPERDEAD! Slams him against the wall slashing him open. Guts getting on Skraps
• Skraps psychic blades (in reverse grip) Skraps's Ego killing him. He jumps in the air, and stabs both daggers into it's temples. Offhand throw in an arc at Nat 1 landing.
• Lily saunters up, e blasting Nat 1 twice. Both hit. Still standing though. She glares at it.
• Gideon does a sick wallrun over Tzon. Attacks with fists at Scurpiun Kung twice, landing both. Fisting him to death!!! Then looks up at Nat 1 doing a Withering Gaze. Fails the save. Killing him with the stare. It collapses into a dried husk.

Out of combat

I tease Lily for her stares not doing that. Aurelia tells her to prove she can on Mr. Mezzo. Lily instead is all like "Look at him he's so cute" and then pinches his cheek. "Don't touch me," he says.

We head on downstairs. I realize I can squeeze bean through doors and she comes with us. Gideon tells the Mezzos to stay upstairs and keep out any intruders. Aurelia asks Gideon what he does. What his day to day look like. He tells us we will learn that information once we clear the basement.

We arrive in the basement. It appears to be where priests would prepare bodies. It's a mess of broken shit, with embalming fluid everywhere. Gideon comments on how messy it is. It's his workshop. Tzon reveals he had a bachelor pad. There is a discussion about Tzon's timeline. Rehashing of the raksasha thingy that attacked their circus and stuff. Big Billy the strongman got killed. Tzon got picked up after to go to the monastery. Tzon was a kid during that? I think. Lost track.

Gideon interrupts the conversation to tell us to get on with it. Tzon opens the door and sees a bunch of bodies laid out on their own individual tables. All dusty and bones. Relics and holy symbols of Lathander, Torm, Helm, and Tyr are set prominently on a number of shelves. Peeking out from behind a corner, we see a little monkey sized cutie

It starts making a lot of screamy growly noises and turns to flee around the corner. At the same time we hear thudding from around the corner. stepping into view is this thing

COMBAT!

• Skraps runs in, the centaur dude roars at him. He flings a psychic blade which misses. He then leaps into one of the recessed body shelves.
• Lily asks what's going on, but then checks and then bonus action hex on him. Dis on strength. Double blasting. Missed with first. Lands with second. Steps back inside. Tells Aurelia its some type of big scary demon.
• Tzon runs as fast as he can at the Quasit. As he rounds the corner that the Quasit did, he reveals another of the scary demons. He tries to grapple the quasit, but the quasit dodges out of the way. Tries again, dodge again. retreats back a bit. Opportunity from the quasit. Misses.

DEMON NAMES: Jeff Bezos, The second Cumming

• Jeff Bezos roars out, galloping incredibly quickly turning straight at Lilith and aurelia, and blocking the doorway. Hoof attack on Lily. Hits. She falls back prone. Tail swipe at Aurelia. misses. Aurelia calmly dodges out of the way. Claw attack on Lily. Critty crit. Aurelia reaction, protective field as she sees the claw go at Lily's neck. Pulls up some acid to protect her from some of the damage.
• Second Cumming runs up on Tzon. Holds his action.
• Balsam hops on bean and pulls out their lance all in one motion, runs up on Jeff Bezos and stabs with their lance. hits. Another lance attack, hit. Divine Smite. Inspiring Smite giving tempies to Lily.
• Aurelia stands over Lily on the ground and lands a rapier attack on Bezos. Next attack also lands. Bonus scimitar hits with bonus psionic. Still standing though.
• Gideon cracks his knuckles and flashes his gaze at Bezos. Kills and melts Bezos. Moves into the room, chuckling at Lily on the ground
• Cassandra moves into the doorway. Shield of Faith on Lily. Using her tail to brush across Lily's leg, she heals her. Lily also brushes her tail against Cass's
• Quasit starts fleeing down the room. We lose sight of him.
• Skraps pops out from his hidey hole to fling a knife at Second Cumming. Hits. Attempts a poison, but the demon is immune to poison. Second Cumming's held action goes off. He summons a lance of lightning into his hands, which he launches forward. It hits everyone but Tzon. Everyone succeeds except Cassandra. Bean is at 8hp. Skraps runs down the room in the direction of the Quasit. He claims he isn't running away from the battle.
• Lily stands up, brushes herself off and moves over to a torch. She starts pulling energy from it, the flames wash over her purifying everything and cleaning her off. She gets some health back from it. She then steps behind a wall.
• Tzon runs up a wall and kicks Cumming in the face. Stunning strike. Fails. Stunned! Second kick also hits. Flurry of blows. Lands, Lands. Runs away and hops in another shelf thingy.
• Turning the corner is yet another of these demon centaurs. Hoof at Skraps, hits. Claw hits. Tail crits. Skraps goes down. Psychic link drops.

NEW DEMON NAME: third times a charm

• Balsam dashes off to Skraps and slams into Third with a lance attacl knocking him prone and divine smiting him. Miss iwth the second attack. They linger to help Skraps with his death saves
• Aurelia shoots at Cumming. Landing strong. One mo gen. Hits. Psionic dive. Glint of purple energy as it flies through the air.
• Gideon shoots a glance at Third. Saves. 2 fists at second cumming. hit with first. crit with second. He punches into Cumming who's head comes clean off. When these things die they melt into a sticky puddle of ichor.
• Cassandra moves down towards Skraps, Balsam., and Third. She sends out Der'ik to Skraps. Cure Wounds. He lands on the center of Skraps chest to deliver it. Very good roll for big heals.
• Skraps, now up, tries to pretend he is still down to get a sneak attack. Succeeds. Chucks a knife at Third. Lands. Bonus action disengage and runs away. Leaps into an alcove. Can't hide though.
• Lily walks out, moves down, discusses with Aurelia about roasting Skraps. Aurelia also says Balsam looks heroic. E blasts at Third. hits, and hits even at disadv like a cool kid. Steps back behind Aurelia.
• Tzon hops down and dashes down to third. Flurry of blows hits with one, misses the other. Push with the landed one. Kills him too though. Superman punch, sending him back turning to a paste on the wall behind.

There is a discussion about the Yips and if BG has a competitive sex league. Also Skraps explained his run around plan (that clearly failed.) Aurelia asks if we should continue forward. and at the same time we hear blood curdling scream "I wanna go to that," Balsam says. Skraps asks Gideon if he recognizes that scream and says there isn't usually screaming down here.

We continue on our way and have some fun little convos. Balsam is very excited to find the source of the screams. Cassandra is passive aggressive about the saving of some lives.

Tzon goes and checks out a room that is a rubble strewn vault with 5 statues. 4 are unrecognizeable. the fifth is a finely carved statue of a kneeling man. Tzon doesn't recognize him, but the head is sculpted in a way thats clearly supposed to have a helm, but none is present. He looks around to see if he can find the helm. He sees demonic traps passing through the room moving in the way we just came from. He also sees humanoid boot prints that led to the statue and then back towards another room. I remind everyone that the Grand Duke and his friends were looking for the Helm of Tormsight.

We go inside a room and there is stuff with a meditation chamber. above an empty deis (sp?) above which is an artful mosaic of bones with images and also which says "contemplate life, death comes soon enough" Its a place where priests can meditate and handle the darkness of their work. behind a door we here the screams. Balsam hops off bean and pushes their way to the door and put my ear to the door and hear only the screams. Lily thinks it COULD be nobleman's screams, but isn't sure because it's a bit more agonizing than she usually hears.

Balsam kicks the door in. A shallow pool is in the room, there are frescos that depict souls getting blessings. Some have been twisted to looking like an abyssal portal. The pool is littered with Elturel guards body. There is also a lot of ichor. An armored man with a shield is crouched amongst the bodies. His hands are around his helmed head. Unintelligable words come as he cries out in pain. We also hear a second and third voice. one is solemn, one is hissing. He is gazing into the portal.

Cassandra and Balsam step into the water which ripples out from us. The portal seems to almost be pulling the ichor back in. Stepping out of the portal we see

on other side of him are two:

COMBAT

Glabrezu name: Grabbyezu
Babau names: Baby, Bambino

• Aurelia draws her bow and attacks Bambino. hits. second CRITS with additional psionic. It's slowed.
• Grabbyezu collects dark energy and throws it out into a sphere. Der'ik, and Skraps succeed. The rest fail. Balsam, Cassandra, Tzon, and Gideon are all confused. He chuckles to himself and moves up and gets up on Aurelia and Tzon. He then makes a pincer attack on Aurelia and also one at Tzon. Hits and grapples Aurelia. Hits and grapples Tzon.
• Lily glares at the Glabrezu and sends out a psychic energy mind spike. He leans into and growls. She steps back and says hi to Bean.
• Bambino moves up on Balsam and shoots a glare at Gideon who saves. Bambino then claws at Balsam twice. Missing one, hitting the other.
• Baby moves on Cassandra. Aurelia, Lily, and Skraps notice that they seem to not be trying to kill Ravenguard. Cassandra begins to feel her armor heat up and sear her flesh. Baby cast heat metal. Two claws on Cassandra as well. Both miss.
• The Duke cries out in pain. We finally understand him scream "BAPHOMET I SEE YOU!"
• Gideon confusedly punches Skraps clocking him narrowly across the jaw. He shrugs off the confusion and is good now.
• Tzon takes no action, and tries to use all his movement to move east. The Glabrezu releases his grasp and Tzon runs directly towards the portal. He shakes off the confusion as he almost dives through the portal.
• Skraps decides not to retaliate on Gideon and instead runs up to Ravenguard and tries to wrestle the helm off of Ravenguard. As he grabs the helm, Ravenguard pulls with him. He cannot remove it.
• Cassandra attacks with their hammer at Ravenguard but luckily misses. Cassandra also saves from the confusion
• Balsam takes no action and tries to use all their movement to move West, ending up just below the Glabrezu and against a wall. Still confused.

NOTES:
