Session 21

Recap:

- Start at Blacksmith Ora's after saving him. He comes with us.
- We cross at one of only 2 bridges to get to the western side.
- We try to have most of us sneak but we get caught and Lily pops out all flirty
- COMBAT! PAIN BRIDGE! BADDIES CHUCKED OFF!
- See a scary Narzugon. Avoid him.
- Arrive at High Hall which is somewhat rubbley
- Hell Hounds and a Merrigon await. There seems to be something or someone in a tower.
- COMBAT! BUSH DID 9/11! JET FUEL CAN'T MELT STEEL BEAMS!
- Der'ik got blasted and then Cassandra fell over

• Bean and I charge in hitting a massive crit lance with a divine smite stabbing into the Merrigon killing him instantly as I raise is corpse on my lance above my head screaming a warcry.
• Aurelia checks on Skraps and runs up on Moon Moon and stabs him a few times ACTION SURGE! more stabs
• Lily derides Skraps for being bit and then Eldritch Blasts Big Dawg.
• Tzon runs up to Moon Moon and starts punching! He also yells to Balsam that Cassandra seems to need our help over there. CRIT IN THEM PUNCHES! Killing the betesticled Moon Moon by kicking him right in the nuts.
• Cassandra gets to her knees and yells out a gross liquidy scream as blood starts coming out of her mouth and a massive thunderclap emanates from her! It hits Aurelia and Skraps but they both dodge. Skraps does start "Mop"ing (ala archer)
• Skraps yells out to Cass "WHAT THE FUCK?" Cassandra just doesn't respond as she pants and her hands dig into the ground. He then runs off and hurls a couple psychic blades at George W. Bush.
• Big Dawg blasts Cassandra and Aurelia with fire. Cassandra fails her save.
• George W Bush bites Cassandra twice. Aurelia starts glowing with energy and moves some of the broken gate to block some of the damage from Cassandra. The second bite still takes her down.
• Balsam dashes over and misses 2 lance attacks at George Bush but also they lean down and drop their remaining Lay on Hands into Cassandra to bring her back up.
• Aurelia attacks Big Dawg twice missing both, She then is like "WHAT IS UP??" to Cassandra who is in pain on the ground
• Lily checks in on Cass and is like "Hey this seems new?" which Cass is like "yeah new for me too" Lily then glares at Big Dawg and casts Mind Sliver on him
• Tzon is all concerned about Cassandra and talks to Skraps about it. Tzon moves up and starts punching George Bush. Clean jab to the jaw breaking his neck. He then throws a punch at Big Dawg
• Cassandra head rises and her eyes are blazing as her flesh stitches back together. She stands up and Cure Wounds herself. She yells out to Balsam "It's time for me to get out of this fight" as she lifts her hand up to be pulled onto Bean
• Skraps shouts "BAD DOG" and flings a dagger at the final dog, missing. Throws another which does hit. "Who's fucking dog is this? Why isn't it on a leash? This place sucks!" Lily accuses Skraps of being scared of dogs. He gets defensive and Aurelia can tell he deff has some fear of big dogs.
• Big Dawg bites at Lily twice missing with both. Lily flips her hair about it and tells him to sit. He starts running off provoking attacks from Balsam, Tzon, and Aurelia. Aurelia stabs the dog into Tzons range, who suplex him backwards into Balsam's Lance.

  I immediately pull Cassandra onto Bean. She clings to her mane. Tzon asks her if she's okay and she says she needs Der'ik. We plan to take check out that tower and hopefully take a rest in there to bring Der'ik back. There is some discussion of a rope and bondage? Everyone checks in on Cassandra again who says she's never been on the verge of death like that before or without Der'ik for that long. Cassandra anxiously plays with Bean's mane

  Lily comes over and says that she's sorry about Der'ik and we will bring him back and that maybe we can just sit in this feeling of badness for a bit and to try to let it go and remember its not permanent. Cassandra nods but doesn't look at Lily. Lily tries to see if there is any type of magical difference around Cass. She is able to gather that there is nothing magical happening. Tzon flicks a gold piece at Cass who makes no movement to catch it.

  Aurelia says "Why is Lily not in this psychic chat?" Tzon is always looking at whoever is being talked about Skraps "I needed the martial guys ready" Lily deff feels left out. in the chat Aurelia says "Balsam have you ever seen Cassandra like this? And should we go into the tower to rest?" Balsam responds "No I haven't but we should definitely get into the tower"

  Aurelia gathers everyone and asks if we need the rope. Lily says if you want to tie me up with it yeah what if I misbehave ;)" Aurelia is like bro! Tzon goes up to the door and opens it. It appears to be a defensive guard post. Lots of weapons. A spiral staircase leading up. Tzon sprints up the stairs to check whats up there. He ends up at a trap door which he opens. Up there he sees curled up in the fetal position a young guard shaking and trying to calm himself down.

  Tzon jumps as he sees him and then greets him and tells him the dogs are gone. "I think I'm gonna stay here" Tzon grabs him and takes him downstairs into safety. The man screams. Every is like what the fuck and Balsam is like "good on ya Tzon". The guard puts his hands up and yells "Get the devil woman away from me!" Aurelia talks to the guard much more cordially. Tzon demands he apologize for his racism before he releases him. Aurelia offers our help. We don't need anything from him other than to be quieter and be less racist.

  We ask how long he's been here. Its only been days. He is like he has seen his comrades die over and over and over. He describes the devils he's seen. He describes a pokey one who convinced Elturguardians to join them. He says last he knew they were in the Cathedral. Aurelia asks if there is any leadership left. He says Ravenguard is here somewhere. Cass starts burning some sage and lavender. Aurelia tells Lily to go deal with her woman. Lily is like "what me?????" It becomes a whole thing.

  Tzon offers the guy a massage. He takes him up on it. I lean up and loudly whisper "Maybe this will get him to shut up. If he keeps wailing like this they will find us." Cassandra responds directly and quietly secret secrets to me. The massage absolutely helps calm him down and restores his courage. He says he needs to avenge his friends. He also tells us his name is Trevick Thantorme.

  He says "Duke Ravenguard was taking the range. He was in the catacombs last I knew." Skraps asks if there is another path, but there isn't. We plan to spend at least an hour. We squeeze bean into the door to take our rest. Cassandra keeps casting the summon Der'ik spell.

  During our rest Balsam attempts to cure wounds Bean's scars. It doesn't do anything but they try anyway. Aurelia plays a somber song inspiring Cassandra and Lily who passes it to Skraps. Tzon calls out Cassandra for her not catching the coin. She brushes it off and is like "I'm concentrating." Trevick asks Aurelia's biggest fear she pulls him to the side and says its losing herself and she's been dealing with a lot lately. She hopes to be a better person after this and she fears she won't overcome any of her past. Everyone starts joining the conversation even though it was supposed to be private.

  Cassandra finishes summoning Der'ik. As he comes back tension releases from Cassandras body and she sheds a single tear as he nuzzles into her. Tzon asks if she wants to catch a coin again? She deflects it by being rich. Skraps asks to catch the coin. Tzon flips it at him. Skraps easily catches it in his teeth.

  Cassandra walks over to tzon and grabs his sash and pulls him in aggresively whispering "Whatever you think you know keep it to yourself." he is like "crystal clear" Aurelia feels horse breath on her and is like "Balsam where are you?" "Right behind you"

  We leave the tower and run into Lulu and Reya. Reya says she's staying behind with the refugees but Lulu is going to come with us. Everyone is clearly so much nicer to Lulu than Reya.

  We approach the main door to the catherdral and we hear the sound of scuttling. It's probably the crabs that Travick mentioned before that I forgot to mention earlier. Inside we see an open archway with a long hall. some columns are carved to represent Torn. Some have been warped to represent Zariel. It opens up into a grand foyer, inside have 2 circular stairwells, and a raised altar made of teakwood. it takes the shape of a gauntleted fist. There is a lever on it. There are 3 giant crabs. And also a spined devil.

  COMBAT

CRAB NAMES: Vore This Crab, Queen Elizabeth (dead), Barc Tnaig. Legs, So Juicy, Carb, Pthirus Pubis, Crabs, the Affliction, Krusty Krab SPINED DEVIL: Dreborah

• Balsam and Bean move up to crabs, the affliction and Krusty Krab. They look like normal crabs but spikier. I also see 5 more crabs and even more dead bodies. I stab into the affliction doing major damage. It's gross in that crab
• Skraps moves up a bit up one of the staircases and then chucks a pyschic blade at Krusty Krab. He flings another that kills him.
• Cassandra moves up and has an angle at Legs. She sends out a ranged attack of some sort but it misses anyway.
• Aurelia does a slide under Bean to get past (we are accidentally blocking the whole door) Aurelia attempts to fling the fist at Pubis and Legs but unfortunately she feels she can't because its way too attached to the ground. Instead she uses the same telekinetic movement to pull the lever. As she does the hand moves into an open palm it looks like its ready to receive something. ACTION SURGE attacks at the Affliction killing it. Stabbing it so deep with her rapier that it's fist deep.
• Lily presses her fingers to her tiara and she stares directly at Dreborah and a lash as quick a as a whip from there and slams a mind spike into Dreborah. This startles Bean who kicks back which luckily Lily dodges out of the way of.
• Dreborah yells out to the crabs GET THEM
  They swarm Balsam/Bean and also Aurelia.
  Bean gets hit. Balsam gets hit and it grapples them trying to pull them off Bean but fails. Aurelia get hit and is grappled. Pubis moves up to Skraps and gets hit with an opportunity from Aurelia but it's still able to move to him.
• Trevick attempts to get launched by Tzon to fling him over Bean and Balsam. Tzon succeeds at his launch but Trevick fails at his acrobatics check smashing his head into the corner of the door and collapses into the ground and curls back into the fetal position chanting "Everything's gonna be okay!"
• Lulu moves her way up to calm and inspire Trevick. "You can do it! They really need you!" This gets him back up to his feet and back in the action.
• Tzon used his action to fling Trevick. Tzon moves through Bean and then the crabs and punches on Carb killing him. Punches through the top of the carapace and pulls out some crab meat.
• Dreborah moves up and flings some flames at Aurelia and Balsam. Hitting Aurelia HARD! Balsam deflects it against their shield.

SEE IF WE CAN EAT THE CRABS!!!
