- Resume during the sleepover
- Everyone gets all raucous and no one inside reacts which makes Aurelia annoyed
- Lily starts calling out for Cassandra in her sleep. Cass goes to ask for Balsam's help.
- It's tense but Balsam is able to glean that Lily feels bad about something she feels she did to Cass. Even Cass has no clue what that specifically is though.
- Tzon misinterprets what Cassandra is saying to him and also goes to "help" aka tell her to suffer quieter prompting an eldritch blast
- We awake to spears and Aurelia's daddy mad at us. Someone cuts Cassandra's finger prompting Balsam to snap his spear in half.
- Daddy goes in and sees Skraps in Aurelia's underwear and then Daddy kicks Aurelia out of her side house. Aurelia disavows her family name
- Wizard Denny's! Identify the items and meet with Falaster Fisk.
- Shopping montage! Most importantly is the acquisition of Apple!
- Meet with Captain Zodge and also Captain Lliara Porter. Get given a full cart of supplies (which caused a lot of confusion)
- Leave. Aurelia gets robbed.
- Campfire discussion of food and whether or not someone could make a puff pastry over a fire (which the hog got thrown into) makes it so we don't get to Reya's moment that she clearly wanted to have.
Reya falls asleep as we argue about puff pastries. The conversation somehow continues. Aurelia switches the conversation to some drama about who was a better roommate b/w Lily and Cassandra. Cassandra deflects and makes the convo about food again. Lily and Aurelia then makes Cass tell shit about herself. Cass's biggest fear is dying alone. Skraps was being squashed like a bug. Aurelia's is sprouting tentacles and getting an appetite for brains. Balsam's is thunderstorms. Lily's says spiders, continuously being asked the same questions over and over, and then casts suggestion on Aurelia to get to her stop asking her questions. Aurelia resists (with adversity token help from Kat) Much more honestly finally Lily answers that she has a fear of failure. Eventually we fall asleep.
We continue our journey. Passing various travelers and refugees. Gathering that they have been turned away from various places and are heading back to the north. Reya clearly feels on the outside of the group. Lily tries to engage with her asking about her whole deal. She says that she isn't sure and that most everyone she knows were dragged into Hell or were behind it and that she doesn't know where she stands in the world.
We see another cart of clearly refugees stranded on the side of the road with their wheel having fallen off. They ask for our help. I whisper to Tzon how to fix it so he can seem like a smart engineer like Cassandra thinks he is. We make our way over. Skraps is all like "yo whats happening?" Aurelia watches with heightened interest in judgement since she knows how to fix a cart. I lift the cart up. Tzon positions the wheel. One of the refugees asks after the scary looking shield on Cassandra's back. She says she was given it by one of her best friends and that she doesn't know where they got it. She fully gets caught in the lie though. All of a sudden this refugee shoots into the air and shouts NOW! Revealing himself to be a red devil. A half-fiend aka a cambion
BATTLE!
Skraps chucks a dagger and then hides amongst the horses. Aurelia does a sick flip off of Rebel. The cambion hurls some fire blasts at Cassandra hitting with one which gets somewhat deflected by the shield. One of the minions hits me pretty hard. Lily casts blade ward (which looks like a bunch of coins), hexes for wisdom on the cambion (I think), and ducks down. Tzon starts waling on the guy who hit me prompting a parry. And then he sweeps their leg knocking them prone. Reya pokes her head out and shoots a crossbow at the cambion. I hop onto Apple, running around to the guy on Aurelia knocking him down with a sick lance attack, divine smite, and then throw some healing at Cassandra using the blood that came from the minion. Cassandra blesses a bunch of us including me and brings De'rik back.
Skraps sneak attacks the guy who was searching for him and then immediately hides again. Aurelia stabs at the guy adding psionic strike (black flash adjacent? assuming thats from e33) Kaddrus (the cambion) continues flinging fire at Cassandra missing both. He then flies down and touches down behind the broken cart. The guy on Tzon hits him real good bloodying him in one hit. The one by Skraps just keeps hunting for Skraps and failing. The one in between me and aurelia swipes at Aurelia a few times critting on one. He takes her down. He then goes over to rebel about to mount her taking a lance attack in the process. Lily chucks an eldritch blast at the guy by rebel taking him down hitting him on the back cracking his skull against a rock as he goes down. Tzon spears (like edge not the weapon) a guy and goes for a trip kick knocking him prone. And then kicks him while he's down. Reya tells Cassandra to get inside the cart. Cassandra says she has to get Aurelia. Reya says she'll cover her and then starts dashing towards Aurelia to give her cover. I run over to Kaddrus reaching my hand down into Aurelia's wound to get her up. I then lance Kaddrus pretty hard. Cassandra goes and also heals Aurelia but much better.
Skraps psychic blades the dude that was searching for him. The dude slashes across Skraps as he runs off to hide under the baddies' cart. Aurelia gets up and hops onto Rebel runs over to the back of the cartt. She gathers momentum swinging herself to the side of the horse stabbing once and then the purple energy going from her tattoos and comes off of her blade frying him with the second stab. Kaddrus starts flying up provoking Balsam and Aurelia. I miss but she hits cutting off one of his big toes. He flies 120 feet in an exact diagonal. The leftover minion drops his sword and surrenders as his Kaddrus says that guy is on his own as he flies away. Lily goes over and joins Aurelia on Rebel. Tzon goes and manacles the minion. Reya fires at Kaddrus hitting him cleanly. I fling a guiding bolt at him also hitting him bloodying him. Cassandra also flings a guiding bolt which he dodges. Skraps curses at him. Aurelia shoots a longbow at him also missing. I give chase for one round to cast another guiding bolt but then gallop back to the group. "That was invigorating"
Aurelia looks Cassandra in the eyes and thanks her for saving her again. She averts her gaze and says "it doesn't go unnoticed." Cassandra says "you're welcome." The minion says he has no ill will towards us and says he was just hired by the cambion who appararently works for "The Knights of The Hidden Lord" which is the guy in the shield. He gives Skraps his greatsword and also 83 gp and Aurelia starts looking through the cart. We will let him free with the horses and the cart. His name is Zarood. I help him load up the bodies (one was his brother. the one whose head hit the rock) into the cart. I glance around the cart but don't find anything interesting. We wave him off with no ill will his way either.
The weather starts to turn cloudy. We continue to travel the rest of the way. Aurelia plays us the titanic theme to give inspiration to Lily and Skraps. She really puts her heart into the playing because she feels bad for killing us killing Zarood's brother. Lily is being very nice to Aurelia which puts Aurelia on edge. It seems very genuine though. Aurelia boops Lily's nose.
Aurelia asks if Skraps is still wearing her underwear. Lily knows for sure that he is, but Aurelia believes him that he isn't. Aurelia seems quite flattered that he is wearing them. Balsam doesn't wear any so is more confused that anyone would wear any underwear.
On the night before arrival we play truth or drink/smoke at Cassandra's request.
Skraps gets asked Have you ever dined and dashed? Yes for sure.
Reya gets asked 69 (which Cassandra says is one of her favorite postions) Do you prefer sex lights on or off? "I wouldn't know"
Aurelia: What is the strangest rumor you've ever heard about yourself? That she's sort of an evil being born into the ravenshade family that will only bring danger and harm (obv now Aurelia is feeling some type of way of having to think of all this. Reya scratches her chin and says at least her home is still there. Aurelia takes a lap but then quickly comes back for smokes)
Balsam: What is the biggest secret I've ever leaked? I haven't ever done that though
Lily: What is the longest time you've ever gone without showering? A day. Balsam had gone like a month. Skraps said like a week.
Cassandra: What is one sex act you never want to try again? being tied up again. down to tie someone else though. Aurelia is very confused about how being tied up is a sexual thing. Lily asks if she can commission a leather outfit like Balsam's from Balsam. Which they are deff down to do. Also it seems a little like Cassandra has watched Aurelia change.
Tzon: Have you ever get caught faking it? He is confused as to how that could even work would he like spit on her back or something? But no for sure he hasn't, as he hasn't ever had the opportunity anyway.
Skraps: Who in the group would you swap lives with for one week? Lily because he wants to know what it feels like from the other side ;) Specifically he wants to do a FREAKY Friday.
Aurelia: If she was to watch 2 people go at it, who would it be? Lily and Amrik. Aurelia is very uncomfortable with the whole sex and relationship thing.
Cassandra: Do you like to make the first move? Yes and she's good at it seeing as she pulled Lily. She pushed her up against the wall and it was all hot and whatever (per Lily)
Reya: What is her ideal partner? She takes a shot instead of answering
Balsam: Who in this party would be the best kisser? Aurelia. Who then blushes and loses her ability to speak again. Lily is for sure jealous that she didn't get it. So is Skraps.
Tzon: Is there a limit to what he'd do for the right amount of money? Yeah for sure there are lots of things. he has a hard enough time doing anything he doesn't wanna do. Especially violence.
Lily: What's her biggest insecurity? "EW" and then she initially tries to drink but then gets big dogged into answering. She's a little too well endowed, too much of a perfectionist, sometimes she cares too much. She then sucks on Aurelia's finger which got put in her face when Aurelia is like no answer for real. Her tongue is not long enough. Never got a real answer out of her.
Finally on our way it becomes heavy rain and we pass a bunch of merchants. The rain subsides as we approach the keep. There is a sign that points to candlekeep and also the way of the lion in the other way.
