- Resume in the battle.
- Tzon's wig gets lit on fire. and also he wins the bet with the killing blow on the fiend.
- De'rik investigates the hallway and finds a couple cultists. They talk to someone throughh a door. Seems to be their "superior"
- Raid the basement kitchen. 2 halflings in a trench coat awkwardly go get a boar.
- Cassandra cooks us delicious food
- Aurelia wants to train with Tzon and Skraps. They suggest trapeze. Also Aurelia's dad never approved of the arts
- Aurelia tells us that she comes from Psionic descent. We all reassure her that we don't in anyway judge her for the mindflayer blood or whatever. We also tease her about tentacles ;)
- We head into the room the fiend was in. I fucking flail the head of the angel statue right off (aurelia noticed the head and neck were hollow). Inside is a glowy mace (gotta investigate it)
- There was a secret door. Inside is Amrik and Thalamra. SURPRISE (except Cassandra)
Resume as Amrik throws the door open. Lily being drunker than ever. I make eye contact with Amrik and say "You! I told you what would happen!" and cast Compelled Duel. Tzon tosses Skraps over Amrik's head. Skraps keeps wearing the robe. Inside he catches the first glimpse of Thalamra Vanthampur.
He also sees two 9 candled things (candelabra but tall?). There is an altar with flames in the shape of an angel. Thalamra was kneeling at it. She says "In the name of the Lord of Avernus, Amrik, if you were duped by 2 halflings in a trench coat, I will flay you myself." Skraps starts throwing daggers at a candelabra (fails), then throws another at the altar (fails). Tzon douses Amrik in oil. Lily climbs on Aurelias shoulder's to get a view of Thalamra. Cassandra leans against a pillar and send De'rik into the chamber.
Thalamra reaches her hand towards the flaming angel and summons eldritch energy from it and flings 2 eldritch blasts at Lily and Aurelia. They get blasted back but Aurelia keeps them both upright through sheer strength. Amrik pulls another dagger and slowly approaches me. We gets close and we attack at the same time. I hit him up the head as he comes in with one dagger attack forcing a miss, he swipes again and I just kinda slide away against the oil.
Reya sprints into Thalamra and says "You wretched viper! What have you done to my city? Where did you send it?" And then hits her. Skraps goes and attempts to fuck with the altar. He tries to stab it but it just goes through it doing nothing. He notices that there are infernal runes surrounding it. The table is made of obsidian. He decides instead to chuck some daggers at Thalamra doing some good damage. As she takes the damage she takes more flame from the table and hurls it at him hitting him just about as good as he hit her.
Tzon tried to grab and shove at her but is unable. Aurelia puts Lily down and gives her an end of rope to keep the two together. She then runs into the chamber to attack Thalamra who afterwards looks very bloodied. Lily ties the rope around her wrists and then starts following it to Aurelia. She banters with Amrik who then tells Lily to call her dog off, refering to Balsam. Lily ignores it and continues on to blast Thalamra killing her. As she's blasted backward she topples her and she collapses down.
Cassandra casts Athletics Guidance on me. He finally gets a stab in on me. I leave the dagger inside me as I grip his hand and drag him over to a candelabra lighting his oil covered self on fire. Reya looks on and smiles at Amrik's agony.
Skraps goes over to the runes again. He sees if he can tamper with them. He scratches through some and for a moment the angel grows in size. He is able to see the detail in it and is able to see where one hand should be there is a stump with a flail attached. Then the table cracks in two and a burst of energy and all the candles in the room go out. It's now very dark in the chamber. Lily is able to figure out which angel this is, but as of now only she knows. Skraps then peaces out to watch the Balsam/Amrik fight. Tzon grabs onto the rope between Aurelia and Lily.
Aurelia also looks out at Amrik on fire and just is like "jesus christ" and then lights a torch to add light to the room and then bums a clove from Lily. They smoke it together. She then searches Thalamra's body. She finds some cigarettes (marlboro 27s), an obsidian and orange gem necklace (Lily wants it and Aurelia gives it to her) It looks kinda like a sword with some angel wings and a face, a component pouch, and 2 keys. Tzon reccomends they start training and that she should try to hit him with a sword. She does and then he ducks under and presses it upwards deflecting it entirely. He says: "If you see which way its coming from you can just kinda deflect it out of the way". She swipes again with her short sword and he just dodges that one. Lily starts casting identify on the amulet that Aurelia gave her she needs Skraps pearl necklace that he swiped to cast it though. She goes over to the unlit candles from the candelabra and lights them and starts casting.
Der'ik goes over and preens Lily for a moment, and then goes over to Amrik and holds Spare the Dying. Amrik puts the fire out by rolling against the wall. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a smoke bomb and hurls it on the ground. I feel where he went though and hit him anyway. I ask if anyone has a way to get the smoke away. Reya tells Skraps that Amrik is still inside the room and also that Balsam is insane. Skraps agrees but says thats kinda how they bonded. Tzon tries to wave the smoke away but then tries to hit Amrik blindly and misses.
Aurelia starts investigating the room some more, trying to gleam more about why the Vanthampurs were in the room. It seems to be a secret shrine/worship area. She assumes with the context of everything that Amrik came here, found his mom, and they began praying after he warned her of our presence. Mostly just a safe room. Der'ik flies back to Cassandra.

Skraps bursts in and chucks a dagger at him, hitting him dropping Compelled Duel. Then dashes past him to block the path to the ladder. Tzon goes up to the opposite side as Skraps and starts punching him. Aurelia hops in and shoots her bow at him and then backs back out of the hallway. Cassandra goes and holds the rope. Cassandra asks what the point of the rope is, Aurelia says that it keeps everyone together and helps you feel safe. Lily starts searching for her cloves but still maintains concentration on her spell. Cassandra lights up a "doobie" with a firebolt. Lily asks about the smell of weed and asks after it, still able to focus. Cassandra passes the "doobie" to Aurelia who hits it.
Amrik starts swinging daggers at the halflings. Two hit on Skraps dropping him. This finally drops Lily's concentration (they were psychically linked and so she noticed it dropping). One hit (willingly) on Tzon who then redirects it at Amrik. Amrik then starts climbing up the ladder. I rush at him and swing at him missing. Reya also comes and hits the "doobie" Aurelia tries to hold it out of her reach and is able to play keep away, but eventually gives in and lets her.
Tzon runs up to Skraps and puts a healing potion in his mouth (healing for max). He wakes up looking directly up Balsam's skirt and then comments on the smell of weed. Tzon tries to swing at him instead smacking me upside the back of the head. He swings again finally killing Amrik by pulling him off the ladder, and his head cracks open against the ground. I whisper into his dying ear "Consider yourself lucky that Tzon was here." He dies. Cassandra sends Der'ik over with the "doobie" to Skraps with healing attatched. The two both get a burning vision behind their eyes of a skeletal head on a black robed figure with its jaw wide open and its hands outstretched. This is the same image as the statue of Myrkul he desecrated. He gains no benefit from the healing.
