- Started while fighting the guards
- Skraps starts checking out a bunch of rooms
- We handle the guards, only one died. They get put in mortlocks room
- Open more doors, find thurstwell. Deal with his angsty ass
- Tzon and lily chill on a balcony
- we struggle to, but ultimately succeed at, opening his locked chest. We get his sick box, and also some other stuff including a red liquid vial which we find a few more of elsewhere
- We interrogate Thurtswell. Thavius Kreeg is involved in this scheme. They stole a shield that has a devil named Gargauth in it. They are gonna use him for the downfall of BG
- We manacle him to the bed and put all the bodies in his room now and then lock it.
- We investigate more rooms. Find some stuff. Tzon puts on a wedding dress
- Tzon falls down a dumbwaiter chute scaring the chef (who has a Tressym)
- one more room, its a study/library/office dealio. A suit of armor animates and we fight it. We take him out, but not before he downs Tzon (who Cassandra healed)
- A book falls into Lilith's lap "The Last Charge of the Hellriders". It has 2 keys in it.
We search the desk, finding a fine ink and quill set, and 50gp worth of fine parchment. Skraps wants to use it for the forgery. Smart. The parchment is embossed with the symbol of the family. Aurelia starts nerding out over all the books in this library. 20 of them are first edition copies worth like 25 gp. Aurelia takes them. But is a bit anxious about the morality of stealing.
We go up the spiral staircase and find some nasty dirty humans locked in cages. There are 2 of them. One is a tax collecter named Kaejil Orunmar. He says he's locked here because he gave the Vanthampur's "a hard time." We say we are going to free them and they say they don't know if they can leave because there "is a stinging something". Cass casts detect Evil and Good. And gets 2 pings on top of each cage. They become visible and stab their stingers into the necks of the two folks. Its 2 imps. BATTLE! Instantly killed Shalene (the other one). Also instantly killed Kaejil. Aurelia chucks a cage at one after they fled to the rafters. Tzon was holding on and got launched up there too. His fingers got crushed though and he fell right back down. We kill one, the other starts flying out the window getting its leg smashed in the process, Aurelia gives chase. Skraps hops out the window as well and takes him down with a thrown dagger. Aurelia catches it as it's felled. (Idk why she wants a skewered imp but she does)
Skraps realizes the red liquid vials are potions of healing.

we go downstairs. A butler tells us Amrik ran through here looking worried. Skraps opens a door. Its the dining room. The chairs at the table look like devils. There is a wine cabinet there too. Tzon starts opening another door. The butler gets annoyed at us opening doors and threatens to call the guards. Lilith sneaks into the dining room to poor herself some wine. Cassandra pokes her head into the dining room and gets 3 pings on the chandelier. There are so many goddamn imps in this building. I knock the butler out after Cassandra gives me permission. Aurelia freaks out at me a little about it.
Lily kicks off combat by eldritch blasting while holding a glass of wine. Tzon launches off of me to grab onto the chandelier. It swings and then he falls down. 2 of the imps also seem to (they are invisible so its mostly by sound though one isn't invisible anymore). Skraps takes a glass of wine from Lily. She pours herself another glass and then tosses the rest of her bottle to me and I catch it. She chucks her empty glass at an imp. It fully misses and doesn't even break. She then pours herself another glass with a new glass. (the glasses are crystal and so they are made with lead). Aurelia stays outside the room. After shooting an imp, she closes the door. We dispatch of the imps (Tzon got 2 kills, Skraps got one) Cassandra went down at some point but I healed her.
I chug my wine and smash the bottle down into the table specifically to annoy Skraps who has an attachment to the table for some reason. Cassandra mends the damage for him. Aurelia comes into the room holding Fendrick (the butler). We take the wine. We pour out some glasses for whoever wants some. Lilith is feeling her wine now tho.
Aurelia demands we hold hands and stay together because people keep wandering about. Everyone holds hands except Tzon who just rushes in and runs past the chef who chucks a ladle at Tzon. I start dragging the line in after him. Cassandra squeezes my hand really hard because she is pissed (seemingly because Lily keeps trying to make out with people. Specifically the chef this time) Aurelia tells Lily she needs to stop talking, Lily said make me, and then Aurelia shoves her fingers in Lily's mouth. We go downstairs.
LEVEL UP!!
As we go downstairs we end up in a dry storage that has some kegs and some crates. Also 2 doors and 4 support pillars. One of the boxes in the center of the room bursts open and 3 spined devils pop out. BATTLE!
