Session 1

After the murder, we all received a letter that says "we know what you did". Aurelia then got us together to get our stories straight.

We meet at the 3 kegs tavern. Aurelia and Lily were there to start. Cassandra is keeping an eye out with her familiar. Balsam and Tzon arrive. Skraps arrives very blatantly and loudly with a bugbear. Cassandra enters and Tzon notices and yells. The letter was all written by the same person. They write a lot, but its not of a noble hand. Cass calls out Aurelia and Lily for being at the party. Aurelia was checking on the vibes of Cass's Family. Lily wanted to see how Cass was doing. A single Flaming Fist walks into the door and walks right up to our table. Bears a message from Captian Zodge. He says thank you for gathering in one place. And that we need to meet him at Basilisk's Gate. He leaves and then we head towards the Gate. As we arrive, the fist is trying to calm a mob of commoners. We finally see the captain as he wades in. We get his attention and pull him out. He brings up the events of the party. He essentially blackmails us and says that he knows what we did and that it would be a shame if anyone else were to find out. He describes the situation with Elturel and Ravenguard. Knights of Elturel are called Hellriders and they blame BG for the fall. He demands we help him. Followers of the Dead 3 are taking advantage of the chaos. He demands we wipe out their lair. And that we have free reign to do so. He will pay us each 100 gp. and will owe us a favor. We need to meet Tarina at the Elfsong Tavern. She is a spy for the Guild.

Captain Zodge

Inside the tavern, we recognize Skoona, the door man. Skraps goes around and talks to people. Cassandra orders a whiskey. Balsam and Lily go over to Whaul Nightley, an orcish rat-catcher. We ask about Tarina. He says shes upstairs. We then order a drink. Everyone heads upstairs after their drinks. Lily approaches her. She seems annoyed that asking after her. She clears the table so that we can talk. We ask after the Dead 3. She will give us the information if we protect her from some people. Cass rubs her leg up Tarina's leg all flirty like. We agree though. While we wait, Skraps, Cass, Tzon, and Tarina play Baldur's Bones. Aurelia is playing some Lute music. Balsam is standing guard just ITCHING for the baddies to come up. Tzon wins!

Tarina

We go downstairs and chat for a little bit while we wait. We overhear many conversations. One of which is about one of the Council of Four (The main ruling body), Lady Thalamra Vanthampur. She is an older woman. She is the matriarch of her family. Openly ruthless as a leader. She started in the sewers and worked her way up. Sticks up for the lower city better than most. We start to hear a song of the elven ghost who sings in the tavern. Its a different Song than usual though. Only Aurelia understands it. It is about the situation in Eltruel. No one has ever heard it before. It mentions the second son that Elturel has to protect them. It also mentions the Hellriders, so named because they descended into the hells to fight. Most never returned.

A crew rolls up and opens the door. They appear to be pirates. The leader approaches Balsam. Mentions Tarina's name so I swing at them. COMBAT BABY! We win!~ We decimate them very quickly. Balsam was very horny about it all. Also during the battle Tzon brought me my ale. He set it on the table by the doors. The one slightly to map left.

Song lyrics:

O sing a song of Elturel
Of water, woods, and hill
The sun dawns on her ruddy cliffs
And fields green and still.
This land of long-abiding joy
Home of the strong and brave
Renowned by all, across the realms,
And never once a slave.

O sing a song of Elturel
When foes are at her door
Her fields torn by cloven feet
From some infernal shore.
Arise the mighty Hellriders
Take up your swift, keen swords
Then charge into the hellish fray
And scatter devil hordes.

O sing a song of Elturel
And when the night does fall
Sleep safe beneath Companion’s light
Until the dawn does call.
We’re bound by mortal covenant
That only ends with death
And so we’ll sing of Elturel
Until our final breath.
